What are the list of output for World Bank Income (wbIncome) Level metric?

The World Bank Income Level, identified as "wbIncome" in the BigDataCloud API, is a classification tool the World Bank uses to categorise nations by income and economic progress. It's based on Gross National Income (GNI) per capita, the total income of residents divided by the population. Countries are divided into:

  • Low income: GNI per capita of $1,035 or less in 2021.
  • Lower-middle income: GNI per capita between $1,036 and $4,045 in 2021.
  • Upper-middle income: GNI per capita between $4,046 and $12,535 in 2021.
  • High income: GNI per capita of $12,536 or more in 2021.

These classifications help determine eligibility for World Bank financial support and provide economic development insights.
