Bogon Routes Monitoring

Advertised Bogons (or martians) are prefixes that are excluded from a public Internet use by the authorities but are announced into the global routing table via BGP. Most of these Bogons result from misconfiguration or error.

Bogons are also popular in hacking or malicious activities and are sometimes used by spammers or those initiating distributed denial-of-service attacks (DDOS attacks).
