Underneath your API Key you are given the option to "Generate (a) New Api Key"... simply click on this and follow the prompts.

How does BigDataCloud differ from other API services?
- Our APIs are highly optimised for speed, most of which are designed to respond within a few milliseconds. We have also implemented a globally distributed API server network ensuring that each API request is served by the closest geographically available server.
- Our data is updated much more frequently than other providers, allowing us to offer industry leading update times across the entire range of APIs.
- Our free service offers the same features and remarkable speed across all APIs, which ensures small businesses and developers have quality data for free and for life.
- Our pricing model is much more transparent, flexible and fair. We won’t force you to sign up for an inflated premium subscription you don’t even need.
How fast are the APIs?
BigDataCloud APIs are some of the fastest in the industry.
On average, most API requests are handled in less than a millisecond!
Are there limits on how many API requests I can do?
The only limitation on how many API requests you can make is based on your subscription.
There is no limitation on the number of concurrent requests, or requests per minute/hour so long as it fits within your subscription amount.
What formats is the API data available in?
Currently, the API offers all data in JSON format.
IP Geolocation Technology
My location is wrong, how do I fix it?
If for some reason our IP Geolocation result for your IP is not accurate, you can help us to improve by sharing your location.
How accurate is the Geolocation API?
Our IP Geolocation technology is far superior to other service providers.
Quality IP Geolocation accuracy largely relies on collecting proven field evidence data which BigDataCloud retrieves directly from this website, our mobile apps and through our partners. Our current IP Geolocation accuracy is either better or on par with the higheset enterprise level IP Geolocation services. Unlike these other providers, our accuracy is continuously improved. This will soon make us the most accurate IP Geolocation service in the world.

How do subscriptions work?
Each BigDataCloud Api offers a substanial number of free API queries per month.
If you require more than this free allocation, then you can make use of our subscriptions to increase this amount.
A subscription works by allowing you to specify your monthly usage requirement for the API's if you expect to go above the free threshold.
This usage is specified in lots, with a monthly fee allocated to the each lot you require.
Let us use the IP Address Geolocation with Confidence Area API as an example.
This API has a cost of USD$2.00 per 10,000 queries, per month.
If you require 100,000 queries per month then the subscription cost can be calculated as follows:
|Total monthly queries required:||100,000|
|Less free queries (10,000):||90,000|
|Units required (divide by 10,000):||9|
|Price per unit:||USD $2.00|
|Total monthly subscription:||USD $18.00|
If you prefer to pay yearly, you will also receive a 20% discount on your subscription.
We provide an extremely easy to use subscription tool to manage your subscription, click here to get started.
